If you missed Milan Fashion Week this year, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! From the biggest trends to some of the world’s biggest designers, we’ve got the scoop on what you can expect for Spring 2014.
Fendi– Light was the inspiration for Fendi’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld this season. However, staying true to tradition, Lagerfeld kept with the typical black that can always be expected of Fendi, as well as monochromatic patterns and geometric shapes.
Gucci– Feminine sport made a big statement on the runway this year in Milan. Marni, Emilio Pucci and Gucci (featured here) all chose to don sporty basics for Spring. Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini kept with materials such as mesh shorts and track suits, accentuated by luxe fabrics and chic patterns inspired by the artist Erte.
Alberta Ferretti- Another big trend in Milan this year was 3-dimensional fashions. Dresses covered in flowers that you could not only see but also reach out and touch were presented by designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Marni and Alberta Ferretti (featured here). Ferretti’s styles were folklore-inspired, made to be decadent and romantic.
