What has long been the optimal choice for the hardworking man is also the choice for the runway man. During Menswear Fashion Week in Paris on Wednesday, Valentino presented his spring/summer 2014 collection, and it included suits with denim hues.
The line, inspired by a military motif, included multiple conservative suits in various denim shades. Complete with suit jackets that could be formal and shirt jackets that hit the waist for a smart but informal look, the line is inviting for any occasion in the spring/summer season. Color blocking also added versatility to the denim palate, making each piece even more unique than the one it layered.
Suit pants were also in denim tones, complete with light leather and more color blocking. The suits were presented as separates, with options for cooler or warmer weather.
If there’s one point that Valentino made it’s that denim is versatile and will always be in, whether it’s for a working day or the catwalk.
